#### What Went Wrong?

Honestly? The word-of-mouth just wasn’t there. The film met with a lukewarm audience response right from its opening weekend, and without strong buzz, footfalls dried up fast. The Telugu-speaking belt — usually a strong home ground for Adivi Sesh — contributed about ₹28 crore, while North India added ₹8.50 crore. Neither market could rescue what was already a sinking ship.

The [box office](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_office) verdict is clear — *Dacoit* failed to connect at a commercial level despite a bankable cast that also included Anurag Kashyap, Prakash Raj, and Sunil.

The film is now set to debut on a digital streaming platform, where it may get a second chance with audiences who prefer watching from their couch. Whether the OTT crowd gives it the love that cinema-goers didn’t — only time will tell.
