## **A First-Time Pairing That Has Fans Buzzing**

Let’s be honest — one of the biggest reasons audiences are already excited is the casting itself. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran are both powerhouse performers, and the fact that they’ve never shared screen space before makes *Daayra* feel like a long-overdue cinematic event. Their pairing in a gritty thriller promises a dynamic that could genuinely surprise people.

The film explores the murky terrain of **crime, justice, and punishment** — themes Meghna Gulzar has always navigated with rare maturity and depth. She returns to directing nearly three years after her last feature, and if her track record is anything to go by, *Daayra* will leave audiences unsettled in the best way possible.

## **Meghna Gulzar’s Third Chapter with Junglee Pictures**

This project marks **Meghna Gulzar’s third collaboration with Junglee Pictures**, following the critically celebrated *Talvar* and the blockbuster *Raazi*. Both those films pushed the boundaries of mainstream Bollywood storytelling, blending real-world complexity with emotionally gripping narratives. *Daayra*, which is also inspired by true events, looks set to continue that tradition — except this time, the boundaries between law and justice don’t just blur, they dissolve entirely.

## **Why Daayra Deserves to Be on Your Watchlist**

There’s something refreshing about a September release that isn’t trying to be a festival blockbuster. *Daayra* seems to be banking purely on its story, its performers, and the weight of real events behind it — and that’s exactly the kind of confident filmmaking Bollywood fans have been craving. With Pen Studios joining hands with Junglee Pictures as co-producer, the project also has the financial backing to match its creative ambitions.
