Cyberpunk 2077 has been receiving updates that aim to bring new content while also fixing issues with the game’s overall performance and technical issues. Meanwhile, the Phantom Liberty DLC is intended to be a major extension of Night City, including new quests, weaponry, and more.
The expansion introduces players to new character Reed (voiced by Idris Elba), a seasoned New United States of America spy who appears to be the only person players can trust to assist them complete an impossible task of espionage and survival.
One of the automobile chases featured in-engine gaming, and as the player explores the game world, Reed’s part in the tale and his connections to the game world will become clear. The duration of the expansion or its location in the game’s history, however, were not shown, thus it’s unknown whether this occurs after the game’s conclusion or before.
Meanwhile, the release date for Phantom Liberty was quite ambiguous, but it was presented at the very end of the trailer. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released as DLC early next year; obviously, you’ll need to own the basic game to access it.
In the meanwhile, many bug-fix updates and free material, such as stuff related to and referencing Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, have been added. We’ll keep you updated when more information about Cyberpunk 2077, including DLC material, updates, and more, becomes available.
Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Google Stadia, and PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Stadia gamers should be informed that this version will be phased out in January 2023, therefore set up Cross-Save as soon as possible.
