Halk Hogan, a well-known modder, recently revealed that his highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project texture mod will be released on March 12th. He also promised that there would be no performance loss as long as the user had unused VRAM, thanks to meticulous optimization. Halk Hogan made a name for himself with The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project, which was so well received that CD Projekt RED decided to include it as one of the integrated mods in the Next-Gen update.
These are the features which the Ray Tracing: Overdrive update will bring to the Cyberpunk 2077
The upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project texture mod isn’t the only visual enhancement for the open world first-person action RPG.
CD Projekt RED is collaborating with NVIDIA to release the Ray Tracing: Overdrive update, which will include advanced ray tracing features. Cyberpunk 2077 recently received NVIDIA DLSS 3 support, giving GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs plenty of performance headroom. It remains to be seen whether that will be enough for the demanding Overdrive update; admittedly, the fate of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, which currently runs poorly even on the most powerful PCs, isn’t encouraging.
