As the launch date approaches, specifications for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, 4070 Ti SUPER, and 4070 SUPER GPUs have emerged, specifically focusing on the custom models developed by MSI and Gigabyte.
While uncertainty remains about the existence of a Founders Edition model for each card, it is now confirmed that various Add-In-Board (AIB) partners are diligently working on crafting their custom designs, offering a diverse range of options for consumers.
All About the Custom Models of NVIDIA GeForce RTX by MSI and Gigabyte
Both MSI and Gigabyte are anticipated to provide an extensive lineup of cards, featuring options with triple-fan and dual-fan cooling solutions. Some custom models have already been listed by retailers, and additional information is available on the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database, providing insight into the variety of choices consumers can expect when these GPUs hit the market next month.
Gigabyte’s lineup includes AORUS Master, AERO, Gaming, Eagle, Windforce 3X, and Windforce 2X models. For the top-tier NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB graphics cards, Gigabyte is preparing at least 10 models, encompassing triple-fan cooling designs in AORUS Master (OC), AERO OC, Gaming OC, Eagle OC, and Windforce 3X OC versions, among others.
Similarly, for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16 GB graphics card, Gigabyte plans to offer at least 11 models, mirroring the design choices of the RTX 4080 SUPER, with the addition of an ICE variant that may feature a white-colored design.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB graphics cards boast the most extensive customization, with Gigabyte preparing a total of 16 models. These models, in addition to triple-fan designs, will also feature dual-fan Windforce coolers, catering to users seeking compact PC builds.
On the MSI front, the leaks cover all three NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER cards, including SUPRIM, Gaming, and Ventus variants. The top RTX 4080 SUPER models are expected to come in SUPRIM X, Gaming X Slim White, Gaming X Slim, and Ventus 3X OC versions. Notably, all Gaming X designs in the SUPER series are set to adopt the recently introduced “SLIM” variant, featuring a compact cooling design, and will be available in white colors.
While preliminary listings by retailers have included prices, these are subject to change once final Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs) are officially announced. The anticipated unveiling of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics cards is expected to take place at NVIDIA’s CES 2024 Special Address on January 8, with availability following later in the month.
