ā€œFirst of all, I want to thank the coaching staff for having the belief in me as always, for giving me the chance,ā€ Curtis Jones told Liverpoolfc.com after putting pen to paper.

ā€œAnd of course for me, I’m over the moon, I’m buzzing. It was an easy thing [to decide to renew].

ā€œIt’s my boyhood club, I’m a Scouser, I’ve supported the club for the whole of my life, so yeah, I’m buzzing and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.ā€

Amidst Liverpool’s injury crisis this season, the youngster could be given more chances in Premier League games. He has played four games in the league this season, and could prove to be a good rotational option for Jurgen Klopp once the packed fixture resumes after the World Cup break.
