Cristiano Ronaldo is still considering his options ahead of a move to Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese forward has been offered a contract by Al Nassr, and it is still on the table since the club is not willing to give up on their pursuit of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
The veteran, however, is yet to make a decision on his future. He is waiting for an offer from other European clubs, which could keep him in the top five leagues in the world. But, a move towards the Middle East looks increasingly likely now for the striker.
Cristiano Ronaldo yet to finalise next club after World Cup exit
Prior to the start of the 2022 World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United decided to go their separate ways. The explosive interview with Piers Morgan proved to be the final straw in the forward’s relationship with the Premier League club.
Shortly after, they decided to terminate his contract mutually and he is now a free agent. His agent, Jorge Mendes, has been working to find a solution for his client, but an agreement with any European club has not been possible as of yet.
Bayern Munich have ruled themselves out of the race to sign him. Eintracht Frankfurt have also confirmed that they had the chance to sign Ronaldo. But, they said that a lot of Champions League clubs were presented with that opportunity, and have decided to let it go.
The contract that Al Nassr have presented is valid until 2025, and Saudi Arabia have plans to keep him as their ambassador of football until 2030.
