Cristiano Ronaldo has finished 2023 as the top scorer in world football, with 54 goals to his name. With Erling Haaland out injured, the Portuguese striker competed with Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe, who have both finished with 52 goals to their name.

The Portugal captain scored ten goals in the Euro 2024 Qualifying campaign as he led his country to a top spot finish in their group. And he will be one of the favourites to go on and win the trophy once again in Germany.

The 38-year-old has been in top form this season in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 20 goals in 18 games while also providing nine assists. His side is currently second in the league table, behind their rivals Al Hilal.

In spite of switching leagues at the start of the year, his form has not diminished. The forward hit the ground running after the World Cup, and faces a tough challenge to try and win the league this year.

Age has not slowed down the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who is still putting up the numbers in Asia. His side is also one of the favourites to go on and win the AFC Champions League, in which Cristiano Ronaldo is participating for the first time.
