Cristiano Ronaldo had already made it pretty clear that he was set to leave Juventus as he wants to try to win more trophies at the last stage of his career.

In the last few days, Manchester City were leading the race to sign the Portuguese. City wanted Kane but Spurs refused to let him go. So it seemed City would sign Ronaldo as their new striker.

“Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.”

“In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games. Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester.”

Manchester United will pay €15m with €8m in add-ons as fee to Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo. Gonna be around €20m guaranteed to Juventus as some add-ons are ‘easy’. 🔴 #MUFC

Paul Pogba has NEVER been discussed as part of the negotiation with Juve. He’s staying.

According to famous transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United will pay €15m with €8m in add-ons as a fee to Juventus for Cristiano Ronaldo. It will be a total of around €20m guaranteed to Juventus as some add-ons are ‘easy’.

Cristiano Ronaldo would add a new dimension to United’s attack who lacks a world-class striker. Martial and Cavani as no doubt good strikers but they aren’t on the level of Ronaldo. So the Portuguese would right away make his way into the starting XI as their first-choice striker.
