Cristiano Ronaldo sets another new record. The Juventus striker became the first player in the 21st century to win 400 league games in Europe’s top 5 leagues as Juventus beat Genoa by 3-1 courtesy of a penalty brace from the great man and a 57th-minute goal from Paulo Dybala.
This was the 100th game for Cristiano Ronaldo for the Italian Club. He joined Juventus in 2018 after his long 9 years stint in Spain with Real Madrid. Before that, he played for Manchester United in Premier League for 5 years.
Lionel Messi is in the second position now with 365 league games win in his career. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus teammate is in 3rd position. He has played in Serie A and Ligue 1 and has won 350 games.
Recently in an interview, his Juventus manager Pirlo said, “Real Madrid was dependent on him, Juventus was. He is a catalyst when there is such a strong player, it’s normal for the game to develop on him. It’s not just us addicted to Ronaldo, but it happens sometimes that he’s not there and we need to improve in these matches.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 77 goals for Old Lady in his first 100 appearances for them. Only Omar Sivori, with 84, and Felice Borel with 80 had scored more than him for the Italian giant.
The Portuguese sensation has scored 14 goals already in his first 11 games this season.
