CoronaVirus: Realme and Xiaomi has called off their on-ground launch event

News channels are reporting the deadly virus from China is now also spreading different parts of India. Several infected cases have been recorded and the situation is not good all over India. In this situation, the smartphone brands like Realme and Xiaomi are calling off the on-ground launch event of their new smartphones and latest technologies.

Important update.

Due to recent reports of COVID-19 #CoronaOutbreak in certain parts of the country, we've decided not to host product launch events on-ground in March.

According to this tweet made by the official page of Xiaomi India, it says that the emergence of coronavirus infection cases in India as the reason behind the cancellation of its March 12 on-ground event. To recall, Xiaomi announced yesterday that it will launch the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 9 Pro at an event on March 12. The Xiaomi executive today mentioned that the company will not hold any launch event in the country throughout March in order to make sure that its employees, partners, and fans are not exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

Here is the official tweet from CEO of Realme Madhav which cites that he is calling off the on-ground launch event apologizing to all the fans, media partners and others. He adds that he will be giving a live speech in a stadium and we have to watch it online for everyone’s safety. And in one of the replies in this tweet, Francis Wang, CMO of Realme India, assured one fan that they will be refunding the ticket money and there will be a special gesture to appreciate Realme fans.

Both the companies are putting Health first in this situation.
