In a fresh poster for the “Coolie” titled “Thalaivar 171,” Rajinikanth exuded charisma, sporting a rugged yet fashionable appearance. Lokesh had chosen X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce that the film’s title would be disclosed on April 22, accompanied by the poster with the caption, “Thalaivar 171 title reveal on April 22.” The poster had showcased Rajinikanth adorned with handcuffs crafted from gold watches, complemented by gold sunglasses. The backdrop of the poster featured mechanical components reminiscent of the inner workings of a watch.
Incorporating handcuffs from watches sparked speculation among fans regarding the possible appearance of Suriya’s character Rolex in the film. However, while no official announcements had been made regarding this aspect, the poster subtly suggested a thematic connection between time and gold within the film’s narrative. At that time, the film had been undergoing pre-production preparations, with plans for filming to commence later that year, heightening anticipation among fans eager for further updates.
