The Spanish teen drama series Control Z acclaiming in Mexico will be ending in July 2022 by releasing the third season. Additionally, Netflix declared this season the final spin-off of the Spanish show. There are many names behind the creation of the series like Carlos Quintanilla Sakar, Adriana Pelusi, and Miguel Garcia Moreno. This show debuted first time on Netflix just two years ago in May 2020.
On 28th April 2022, the Latin American account of Netflix gave a release date of the final season and declared an estimated date, 6th July 2022.
They also have given much information that draws an insight as to what will be happening in season 3:
“Immediately after Susana’s accidental death, the group makes a pact to keep their involvement a secret and never speak of it again. 15 months later, the group is about to graduate and achieve their dreams. Everything is looking good for them until @todostussecretos reactivates and threatens to take away what they love most: their bright and shiny future. Once again, it’s up to Sofia to find out who’s behind this new threat before it’s too late.”
They have also substantiated we will see the return of the cast Ana Valeria Becerril, Ana Sofia Gatica, Michael Ronda, Andres Baida, Macarena Garcia, Rodrigo Cachero, and Patricio Gallardo.
Control Z (Season 4): Renewal Status
Netflix already confirms that season 3 will be the last and final season. Netflix has declared it in their preview of the latest Latin American shows from where they just stated:
“We also have new seasons of fan-favorite series like the Mexican productions Rebelde (Season 2), Daughter From Another Mother (Season 3), Control Z, and Who Killed Sara?, (third and final seasons for both), as well as the Argentinean productions El Reino (Season 2 coming soon) and El Marginal (Season 5).”
Netflix has not given any reason as to why the show would not renew for the fourth season. We should be known that shows on Netflix are now facing difficulties to continue after the third season and it just could be that as they have been evaluated the third season would bring a good time to call it a day.
It is notable that the first season got a “detedoc” with the announcement that season 1 has been seen by more than 20.5 million people just in the first 28 days. Since the arrival of season 2, we have not gotten much data but we have seen that the series performed across the globe through the top 10s.
We have shared a map below and you also can see the show performing naturally well in Mexico but also struggling to hold the position on the map in the top 10s in Latin America.
Control Z is not just a Spanish language series that will complete in 2022.
A big thanks for the source.
