Many large events regarding the gaming industry have been held digitally considering the current global pandemic. Besides ESA, the credit also goes to few companies who held their own live streams during this digital E3 period.
If you have followed the showcases at E3, you definitely know that a huge quantity of games has been announced during E3 2021. We can say that the announcement was balanced with the small and big games. Some Triple-A games also appeared such as, Halo Infinite’s multiplayer could make a return, and then there were the likes of Riders Republic.
Talking about the indies, there have appeared lots of attractive indie games, which made even more good impressions than the big-hitters. One game was Somerville, which seems to have few good talents behind it.
Similar to the other E3, this year also brings lots of games with birds, rocket ships, and Left 4 Dead vibes to name but a few. E3 2021 also shows the industry, in general, moving away from few things like loot boxes and, if we take Battlefield 2042, that is totally ignoring the push towards every FPS being a battle royale. Another good news is, Elden Ring is finally coming in the next January.
However, the live streams were so exciting; Bethesda and Microsoft’s showcase was an outstanding example. Along with Starfield, there was Psychonauts 2, Arkane’s next game Redfall, Forza Horizon 5, and more.
An important sign that E3 was a big success is the excitement it’s generated – did the Starfield trailer tease Elder Scrolls 6? Let’s see what comes out in the coming days. All in all, the E3 2021 has become much better than it was expected to be.
