As you may know, Marvel’s Blade is a new game announcement made by Arkane Lyon. The announcement came as a pleasant surprise for Marvel fans and players.
And now Arkane has shared the concept art for Marvel’s Blade. The news has stormed the internet and now players are more interested in the game and expecting it to be released soon.
However, in the Game Awards 2023, Arkane only announced the game with a short player showing the main idea behind the game. There is no information on the release date till now, but people are suspecting to be it in some years.
As the game is believed to begin developing in early 2022, so, it is natural for it to take some time. However, the trailer released has already excited the players and Marvel’s fans.
The VP and Creative Director of the Marvel Games, Bill Rosemann stated,
“In honor of Blade’s 50th anniversary, we have found the perfect match for the Daywalker in Arkane Lyon, a studio of uncompromising artists who continually push the boundaries of game design and innovation. In addition to their award-winning talent, it’s their personal passion and bold vision for our half-human, half-vampire iconoclast that makes this collaboration a perfect fit.”
Further Game Director at Akrane Lyon, Dinga Bakaba added,
“As a kid of mixed origins, I felt a special connection to Blade – a hero with a dual heritage himself. The opportunity to put our spin on this character is a dream of mine and a challenge that our team embraces with a passion. We couldn’t be happier to put players in Blade’s boots, as he becomes the champion of my hometown of Paris, one stake at a time.”
In the trailer, we can see the in–walled city of Paris filled with vampires who jump out of the darkness at night. The main character is a daywalker, probably a mutant vampire. The trailer features a barber shop where we can see Blade.
The shared concept art for Marvel’s Blade also reflects what was shared in the trailer and game description. The Marvel’s Blade is a trademark open-ended game but with another perspective.
It is available in third–person gameplay and will feature a single-player mode based on the action–adventure genre. So, there are pretty good reasons why players are so excited about the game.
