Coldplay has officially arrived in India, delighting fans with an exciting announcement. The band revealed that their concert on January 26, Republic Day, will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar, making it accessible to fans across the country.
In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, lead vocalist Chris Martin said, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We are so happy to tell you that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad will be streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar. You can watch it from wherever you are in India. We’re so excited to come to your beautiful country. Much love.”

About Coldplay’s India Tour
The iconic British band kicks off their India tour with three performances at DY Patil Sports Stadium in Mumbai on January 18, 19, and 21. Before Coldplay’s electrifying sets, fans will enjoy opening acts by artists Shone, Elyanna, and Jasleen Royal.
The tour concludes with two shows at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26. The India leg, organized by BookMyShow Live, is part of their global Music of the Spheres World Tour. After their concerts in India, the band heads to Hong Kong and South Korea in April.
Coldplay comprises vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer Will Champion, and creative director Phil Harvey.
Special Travel Arrangements for Fans
In response to the overwhelming demand, Western Railway has announced two special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26. These “winter special” trains aim to accommodate the surge in passengers traveling for Coldplay’s concerts amid skyrocketing airfares and fully booked regular trains.
- Outbound Journey: Both trains depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15 a.m., arriving in Ahmedabad at 2:00 p.m. on January 25 and at 1:00 p.m. on January 26.
- Return Journey: The trains leave Ahmedabad at 1:40 a.m. on January 26 and 27, reaching Bandra Terminus by 8:40 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively.
The trains will make stops at Borivali, Vapi, Udhna, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, and Geratpur. Railway officials confirmed the arrangements were made to accommodate the extra rush of passengers traveling to attend the concerts at Narendra Modi Stadium.
