Cody Gakpo has emerged as one the standout performers in Europe this season, being one of the only players to have scored 10+ goals and provided double digits in assists as well.
The PSV Eindhoven winger assisted Luuk De Jong for the second goal against Arsenal as they came away with a 2-0 win against the Premier League side.

This summer, Leeds United and Southampton were interested in signing the Dutchman. However, no transfer went through. Manchester United were also one of the clubs in the race to secure his signature. But, they could not reach an agreement with PSV Eindhoven either.
Based on the performances that the youngster is putting in this season, top European clubs are bound to be interested in signing him next summer.
And it will become increasingly difficult for the Dutch club to keep a hold of their star player with the level that he is playing at right now. A move in January remains unlikely since the player wants to finish the season with his boyhood club.
However, it seems almost confirmed that Cody Gakpo will be joining an elite club to play Champions League football next summer. The only question is – which club will win the race to sign him?
