CMF Phone 2 Teased with Bold Orange Design and Camera Focus

CMF by Nothing has released a teaser for the CMF Phone 2 on Twitter (@cmfbynothing), showcasing a close-up of its camera module in a striking orange shade. It comes after a teasing post from March 28 suggested four future products, the CMF Phone 2, Watch Pro 3, Buds Pro 3, and Neckband Pro 2.

CMF Phone 2 Teased with Bold Orange Design, Camera Focus & Modular Features Ahead of Official Launch

This setup is different from what we have on the CMF Phone 1, which comes with a dual-camera setup of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The redesigned camera module apparently houses a single lens vertically oriented with a flash extending below it, all crammed in a layout reminiscent of smartphone internals. Another leak suggested the device would feature a triple-camera setup, but that remains unconfirmed.

The tagline “In search of the perfect shot” suggests a camera-oriented viewpoint. In a move that would cement Nothing’s push toward the photography angle in an expanded Phone 3a series, the CMF Phone 2 could house a departure from an ordinary imaging loadout — be it a single high-end sensor or an atypical multi-camera array. The bold orange color of the teaser adheres to CMF’s design language, which can be noticed on the Phone 1’s Orange variant that was released in July 2024. The CMF Phone 2 is also expected to carry on the modular design, with interchangeable back panels, while keeping a look close to Nothing’s core range.

According to the leaked specs, the display would be a 6.67-inch AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate — identical to that of the Phone 1. The chipset may be a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 or similarly powerful chip, while a 5,000mAh battery with 33W quick charging may also be on board. On April 17, expect multiple product arrivals from CMF by Nothing, like the Watch Pro 3, Buds Pro 3, and Neckband Pro 2.  With the latest teaser highlighting its camera module, the CMF Phone 2 aims to compete aggressively in the budget 5G market, where photography performance plays a key role. More details should emerge as the launch date approaches.
