DC has dabbled in R-rated stories before, but nothing quite like this. Ahead of its October 23 release, *Clayface* has received an adults-only age rating in the UK, and it’s a record-breaker for the DCU.

## The Rating That Made History

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) gave *Clayface* an 18 rating for “strong bloody violence [and] injury detail.” That makes it the first main-continuity live-action DC movie rated 18+ in the UK. In the US, it’s already rated R.
