Citadel: Everything We Need to Know about the Magnificent Spy Thriller Show

Amazon Prime Video has dropped the teaser trailer of the original series, Citadel. This is an upcoming science-fiction adventure, that comes with a trailer and unveils a page of inspiration from a recent time-travelling story. You may see the new poster that pays homage to Christopher Nolan’s 2020 film, Tenet.

Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra have pointed their weapons in different directions and the title of the movie leaned sideways in a white font. In this, the parallel between the two posters has been evident. On making it clear how the streaming service represents to the audiences and preparing for a fascinating trip when Citadel.

The story of the series starts eight years after Citadel, you may see the titular spy agency dedicated to preserving security all over the world. There are the Elite agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh who managed to escape the disaster, but their memories were wiped out. They have taken to their new identities and live in their own lives without having any recollection of previous events, until Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague, Orlick, who really needs his help in order to reduce the powerful crime syndicate, Manticore.

The Citadel trailer has exposed the two agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh of the global spy agency Citadel. Both of them were able to manage the escape a life-threatening attack and their memories were wiped out, eight years ago. Now, in the present day, both of them are leading normal life with new identities. A former colleague Bernard Orlick tracks Mason, seeking his help against Manticore, a villain that wants to establish a new world order.

There are the three agents set to retrieve Mason and Nadia’s memories, before taking on the criminal organization that took down Citadel in the first place. Recently, the executive producers of the show, Joe and Anthony Russo said how the series has the potential to begin a new franchise for Prime Video, for the opportunity of working on spin-offs to local production teams since Citadel operates all over the world.  

The series has been produced by Russo Brothers, we can see Chopra engaging in some action sequences along with Richard Madden in the show’s first look.

The Citadel is set to hit on 28th April 2023 via Amazon Prime Video.
