Chuwi updates are LarkBook with a touchscreen but retain the same processor

Chuwi’s LarkBook, may not be as famous as other laptops used for educational purposes however, it’s also one of the most famous devices in the Asian continent. Recently the company quietly upgraded its LarkBookand has given the laptop a much-needed treatment.

the newer model will be sold by the company through AliExpress, and the company is yet to announce as to what other channels will be used for the sales of the company’s updated LarkBook.

The new upgraded variant will have a touchscreen, something which was mainly missing from its predecessor. But, if we gain something then something must be lost, and unfortunately, the updated product still has the disappointing resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. However, it’s good news that the sRGB coverage remains at over 90%. the company has still not color calibrated the new panel at the factory, though.

Chuwi has offered the new LarkBook with a touchscreen, but unfortunately, the device will sport the Intel Celeron N4120, a Gemini Lake processor that has performed extremely poorly on its predecessor.

The new updated LarkBook also includes a keyboard backlight or a larger battery and the new model is also just as lightweight as its predecessor. Hopefully, the performance will be slightly improved than its predecessor.

According to sources, Chuwi is selling the new upgraded LarkBook for US$469.99 on AliExpress, but only in ‘Silver Gray’. Currently, the company ships the laptop from China. The listing implies that the LarkBook will be eventually orderable from Russia and Spain, though.
