Christian Pulisic made his first start for Chelsea since Thomas Tuchel took over matters on the pitch, and while the player did not manage to get on the scoresheet, he showed sparks of brilliance that were once the case everytime the player was on the pitch for Chelsea.
Recurring injuries have hindered his progress at the club, and he was also on the fringes of the squad in recent months. Moreover, considering the sheer competition at the club on the attacking front, it is only natural that the player be linked away from Chelsea due to a lack of playing time.
However, Fabrizio Romano has assured that the player is being respectful with the decision of the manager and the club, and is showing true professionalism towards the situation right now. While top clubs will be on the lookout in case he leaves, there are no signs towards an exit for the player just yet.
Pulisic was signed as a Chelsea player from Borussia Dortmund during the winter transfer window of the 2018-19 season. However, he was loaned back to the German club for the remainder of the season.
He has since taken over the number 10 shirt at the club that once belonged to club legend Eden Hazard and most recently before him, Willian.
The decisions regarding his future will be made only in the summer when the season is done with. Moreover, until that time, he will have time on the pitch due to the sheer number of games that remain to be played this season, also considering that Chelsea are competing in three different competitions too.
