Christian Pulisic has completed his move to AC Milan from Chelsea, ending his four-year spell with the club. The winger has opened up on his time at Stamford Bridge, after penning a farewell to the club on his social media profiles.

“I want to thank all my teammates, coaches , fans and everyone behind the scenes that made these last few years at Chelsea so special. Lifting this trophy at the end of that wonderful champions league run will stick with me forever. Thank you for the memories,” Pulisic wrote on his Instagram.

Pulisic has taken up the number 11 shirt at Milan, which previously belonged to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The winger was signed for a fee in the region of €22 million, and has signed a contract until 2027 with the Rossoneri.

He has now opened up on his time with Chelsea, wishing that he was given more opportunities with the Blues.

“Of course there are definitely times where I wish I could’ve gotten more of an opportunity and been that guy, but yeah, for whatever reason, that’s not the case, and like I said, I’m just so excited for this new challenge and I’m definitely ready and up for it,” Christian Pulisic said.

The USMNT captain also acknowledged the contribution of Milan head coach Stefano Pioli in his arrival.

“I think he made me feel like he wanted me here, he wanted me to be a part of this team and he saw me fitting into this team, and that’s what I wanted to hear,” he said.

“Obviously I want a fair opportunity like everyone else to have the chance to come here. I still need to earn my place, of course, but it felt like I was wanted here and I have a great opportunity, if I show good effort, good attitude every day and train well, that I’m going to get the opportunity to go out and perform.”

Christian Pulisic joins former Chelsea teammates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud as the players to have also made the move to Milan.
