Chennaiyin FC have been making waves in the transfer market after missing out on the ISL semifinals this season. The Machans have completed the signing of PC Laldinpuia from Jamshedpur FC, a massive deal to bolster their defence.

On the other hand, they have also agreed terms with Mandar Rao Desai of East Bengal. Both players will be joining the club soon, with more players to follow.

The race for the top six ended in favour of Chennaiyin FC, after East Bengal and NorthEast United both failed to make it. As a result, Owen Coyle has been rewarded with new players to bolster his side, and the former Jamshedpur FC manager has revisited his old club to bring Laldinpuia.

The 27-year-old performed very well for the Men of Steel, playing 21 games in the ISL while scoring one goal and picking up only one yellow card. He was a part of the team that Owen Coyle led to the ISL title, and will now reunite with his former manager in the South.

It now remains to be seen how Chennaiyin FC will strengthen the other parts of their team to become more competitive next season.
