“It’s exciting to stay at Chennaiyin FC. This club is the perfect environment for me to grow and learn from some of the best coaches and players.” Jiteshwor Singh said.
“Jitu was never going anywhere. His unrelenting nature combined with his elegance on the ball are unique qualities for a midfielder in India and he’s a big part of our plans for next season,” head coach Owen Coyle said.
The Marina Machans have been the most active ISL club in the transfer window after finishing sixth in the table this past season, and qualifying for the playoffs. They have signed Mohammad Nawaz, Gurkirat Singh, Elsinho Dias, Laldinpuia and Chima Chukwu for the coming season, and have now retained the services of one of their key players as they hope to challenge for the top spot in the coming year.
