Chennaiyin FC have officially announced the arrival of Elsinho Dias on a two-year contract, making the transfer from Jamshedpur FC. The defender is a part of the massive spending spree the Marina Machans have been on this summer, signing several players to reinforce their squad after finishing sixth in the ISL.
The 33-year-old spent only one season with the Men of Steel, but started all 22 of their ISL games and three out of four Kalinga Super Cup games. Now, he has made the move to Chennaiyin FC to hopefully challenge for the title under Owen Coyle.

The Brazilian will be able to provide a lot of experience to the defence, owing to his time playing across the globe. He will be expected to partner with Ryan Edwards in defence, as the team looks to build on their performance this past season.
However, he isn’t the only player joining them from Jamshedpur FC, with Daniel Chima Chukwu also expected to make the move. They will be joined by Mumbai City FC’s Mohammad Nawaz and Gurkirat Singh in what has been a significant transfer window for the Marina Machans.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the team can stay fit and implement Coyle’s tactics to live up to their potential in the coming season.
