Chelsea dropped a two-goal lead in the London derby to draw 2-2 against Arsenal at home.
Chelsea took the lead early on in the game with Cole Palmer scoring his second consecutive penalty for his new club. The Blues were the better team in the opening half an hour, with Arsenal unable to take hold of the game. The penalty decision was considered harsh by many, with William Saliba having little time to move his hand in the situation.
Mauricio Pochettino initially decided not to field a traditional number 9, leaving Nicolas Jackson on the bench. The Argentine lined up his side in a 4-4-2 formation, with Marc Cucurella being played as a traditional left-back while Malo Gusto made his return from suspension.

Mykhaylo Mudryk scored a goal of the season contender, catching David Raya off his line to make it 2-0 for the home team. However, a lapse in concentration from Pochettino’s men allowed Arsenal to grow back into the game.
Declan Rice scored his first goal since signing for Arsenal, capitalising on a careless pass from David Sanchez from well outside the box. Leandro Trossard then equalised with a tap in at the far post, completely changing the composure of the game.
Chelsea were able to hold on to take a point from the game, but could have had three on another day. On the other hand, their London rivals remain unbeaten in the Premier League and are second in the table with 21 points.
