Tottenham Hotspur won the London derby for the first time at their new stadium, defeating Chelsea 2-0 to end their 100% record at the ground.
Oliver Skipp scored his first goal for Spurs against one of their biggest rivals, launching a rocket past Kepa Arrizzabalaga 19 seconds into the second half. The Spaniard was able to get a hand to the shot, but it wasn’t enough to keep it out.
Harry Kane scored the second goal to bury the game and seal all three points for the home team. Chelsea, on the other hand, continued their goalless run with yet another toothless display.

Graham Potter rotated the side yet again, resting Benoit Badiashile in favour of Kalidou Koulibaly. Thiago Silva, Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix continued their place in the starting line-up. Raheem Sterling and Hakim Ziyech were out wide while Kai Havertz led the line.
But in spite of having a wealth of attacking options on the field, Fraser Forster was barely troubled throughout the game. Moreover, Chelsea also looked exposed on the counter attack, with almost every attempt from Tottenham threatening to end in a goal.
The West London side has completely lost their identity on the field. And even though they can control the ball in the advanced areas, their lack of an end product continues to haunt them.
The introduction of Mykhaylo Mudryk from the bench provided a late spark in the game. But, the Ukrainian barely had any time to make an impact on the game, which was already lost by that point.
The pressure keeps piling on Potter to get goals out of a Chelsea team that is struggling for cohesion. The Blues will face Leeds United next on 4th March, and will have plenty of time to prepare.
Even though the board has reassured Graham Potter that his job is safe, you can’t help but think that he is on thin ice – especially if the side can’t score a single goal.
