The official match ball for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup has been revealed, including a special gold edition for the finals of the tournament, to be held on 10 February 2024. 

The ball was revealed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, by the AFC, and is named the VORTEXAC23. The gold edition used for the final will be called the VORTEXAC23+ and is inspired by the desert sands of the host country, Qatar. The ball has been created by the Official Global Supporter of National Team Competitions, Kelme. 

2023 AFC Asian Cup match ball – VORTEXAC23 revealed 

The AFC Asian Cup is now only three months away, and will take place in Qatar just like the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The dominance of gold in the final match ball resembles the glory of winning the competition, hence its introduction in the deciding match. 

The regular match ball features a significant contrast between white and maroon, a traditional colour for Qatar. The ball has reportedly been developed after thorough research, and implementing the latest technology in the field. 

Players from some of the top leagues in the world will have to take a break from their club duties and represent their national team in the tournament. Alongside the AFC Asian Cup, the African Cup of Nations will also take place, resulting in a thorough overlap between the fixtures.
