The Tweet reads, “Action, drama, and a whole lot of dhamaka! Bringing to you an action-packed remake of #Prabhas & @ssrajamouli’s “Chatrapathi” starring none other than @BSaiSreenivas, Written by #VijayendraPrasad, directed by #VVVinayak. #Chatrapathi in cinemas on 12th May 2023”. The movie Chatrapathi Hindi Remake is going to release on 12th May 2023.
The original one starred Prabhas and was directed by the maverick SS Rajamouli. The story revolves around the plight of immigrants after coming to India and their struggle without any official identity. The movie is going to be a power-packed action entertainer.
The announcement of the release date was done along with the first-look poster. In the poster we have seen Sreenivas goes shirtless and looks like a beast, flaunting his chiselled physique. He is seen standing in the water with a copper bowl in one hand, and there are injuries on his back. He wears sacred threads around his neck and on his arm. The posture and the ferocious clouds indicate the aggression of Sreenivas’ character.
