After the final round of fixtures in the Round of 16, we finally have a list of the last eight teams left in the Champions League this season. Last year’s finalists, Inter Milan, were shockingly eliminated on penalties by Atletico Madrid as they made it to the quarter finals thanks to a heroic display from Jan Oblak.

On the other hand, Bayern Munich completed a comeback from 1-0 down to defeat Lazio 3-1 on aggregate to claim their place in the last eight. However, things aren’t looking very promising for the Bavarians with all the instability behind the scenes and on the pitch. But, it would be foolish to rule them out just yet.

Here are all the teams in contention for the quarter final draws:

  • Manchester City
  • Real Madrid
  • Bayern Munich
  • Arsenal
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • PSG
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Barcelona

The draw for the round will be made on March 15, and teams from the same country can now face each other in the ties.

Early Predictions

Manchester City and Real Marid are two of the obvious choices for winning the title this year. But, Bayern Munich could still shock the world as they recently put on a show in the Bundesliga as well as the Champions League.

PSG are also underdogs, but could be motivated by Mbappe’s departure to give it their all under the guidance of Luis Enrique.
