The eight teams of the Champions League Round of 16 have been confirmed, after the first night of matchday six. Most prominently, Manchester United were handed a 1-0 loss at Old Trafford as their European hopes ended dramatically. The Premier League club finished dead last in their group, being eliminated from continental football altogether.

On the other hand, Union Berlin had the chance to make it to the Europa League, but their hopes were ended by a late goal from Dani Ceballos, letting Real Madrid earn a 3-2 win against the Champions League debutants.
