Champions League 24-25 results from day 3: Barcelona stunned, Leverkusen cruise to win

Round one of the Champions League 24-25 season is now in the history books following the third night of action. Monaco presented the biggest shocker of the night with their 2-1 win over Barcelona. On the other hand, David Raya stepped up with a double penalty save to help Arsenal draw 0-0 with Atalanta.

It was a fitting end to the fixtures of the first round of Europe’s top competition. Find the results from the last night of matchday one below.

Champions League 24-24 matchday one results: All the scorelines from day 3

  • Monaco 2-1 Barcelona
  • Atalanta 0-0 Arsenal
  • Feyenoord 0-4 Bayer Leverkusen
  • Atletico Madrid 2-1 RB Leipzig
  • Brest 2-1 Sturm Graz
  • Red Star Belgrade 1-2 Benfica

Atletico Madrid had an impressive night as well, coming back from going 1-0 down early in the game to win. Antoine Griezmann scored the first and assisted the second goal for Jose Gimenez, proving once again that he is Atletico’s talisman.

Barcelona’s defeat with ten men wasn’t the ideal start to their Champions League campaign. Eric Garcia was sent off early in the game, and two quickfire goals ensured that the teams remained level at half time.

However, Monaco were able to surge ahead through George Ilenikhena, and held on to the lead to claim three important points.

When is the next round of Champions League?

Coming week, from 22nd September
