The quarter-final and semi-final draw of the Champions League has been made, and we now have two clear brackets leading to the final.

Here is the draw in full.

Champions League 21/22 QF brackets made

  • Chelsea v Real Madrid
  • Manchester City v Atlético Madrid
  • Villarreal v Bayern Munich
  • Benfica v Liverpool

First legs are scheduled for 5/6 April, with the return legs a week later on 12/13 April.

And, here’s how the two brackets lead up to the semifinals of this year’s competition:

  • Manchester City/Atlético Madrid v Chelsea/Real Madrid
  • Benfica/Liverpool v Villarreal/Bayern

First legs are scheduled for 26/27 April, with the return legs a week later on 3/4 May.

Chelsea and Real Madrid faced off against each other in the semi-finals of the Champions League last year, with the Blues getting the better of the 13-time winners. They will have to prove themselves against the Spanish giants yet again, if they are to defend their crown. The first leg will be played at Stamford Bridge, and the second leg will take place at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu.

We could also have a replay of last year’s final in the semis, with Manchester City drawn in the same bracket as Chelsea. But, Atletico Madrid could dump out their second Manchester club this season and move to the next round as well.

Bayern Munich and Liverpool could meet in the semi-finals, with them drawing Villarreal and Benfica in the last eight respectively. All things considered, we have been set up for a very exciting end to the Champions League this season, no matter the outcome of the games.
