A jealous chaebol heir storming a drama set? Yes, please. *My Royal Nemesis* is delivering exactly the kind of romantic chaos we signed up for, and the stills from the next episode are proof that things are about to heat up significantly.

## What’s Happening in the My Royal Nemesis Next Episode?

SBS’s *My Royal Nemesis* stars Lim Ji Yeon as **Shin Seo Ri**, a struggling actress who gets possessed by the spirit of a notorious Joseon-era villainess, and Heo Nam Jun as **Cha Se Gye**, a ruthless chaebol heir famously known as a “monster created by capitalism.”

In the upcoming episode, Shin Seo Ri — who has gone from playing extras to landing a major role — is filmed on the set of her new drama *The Women’s Kingdom 2*. That’s when things get spicy.

Unable to let her out of his sight, the smitten Cha Se Gye shows up on set and gets into a fierce battle of nerves with Shin Seo Ri’s co-star Ahn Chang Hwan, the drama’s male lead. Cha Se Gye — who has always been strict about keeping his personal and professional lives separate — completely loses his cool out of jealousy, winding up in a tense glaring confrontation with the actor.

And it doesn’t stop there. A final still captures Shin Seo Ri looking startled and flustered when Cha Se Gye suddenly grabs her hand without breaking eye contact — right there on set.

## Why This Drama Hits Differently

The [romantic comedy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romantic_comedy) genre has long thrived on the tension between opposites — and *My Royal Nemesis* layers that formula brilliantly. You’ve got a modern actress haunted by a fierce historical spirit, a capitalist anti-hero crumbling under the weight of his own feelings, and now a full-on jealousy arc set on a drama-within-a-drama set. It’s meta, it’s funny, and it’s genuinely compelling.

Lim Ji Yeon continues to prove she can do it all — from intense thrillers to fizzy rom-coms — while Heo Nam Jun’s transition into a jealous, lovesick chaebol is the character development we didn’t know we were waiting for.
