Naturally, fans of the ASTRO idol-turned-actor were deeply worried — and the internet didn’t help matters with rampant speculation flying everywhere.

### The Director’s Clear-Cut Answer

At a press conference for the Netflix production held in Jongno-gu, Seoul, director Yoo Insik was asked about any possibility of having edited out or reduced Cha Eun Woo’s scenes due to his personal life. He responded: “I first learned about the issue through news reports when the editing and post-production process was already nearly complete. This project has been a long-time dream for me, and every single person involved worked incredibly hard, even for a one-second shot. We approached post-production with the overall quality and completion of the drama as our top priority.”

That’s a statement every fan needed to hear. The director also drew a clear boundary, adding that he was unable to comment in detail on personal issues — keeping it professional and focussed on the work itself.
