CES 2021: NECPC introduces Two New Lavie PCs including an 8-inch convertible prototype

A joint venture company of Lenovo and NEC Corporation, NEC Personal Computers Ltd. (NECPC), announced on Friday at the all-digital CES 2021, the launch of the upgraded “LAVIE Pro Mobile”. At the event, the company also presented a sneak preview of the 8-inch convertible PC prototype “LAVIE MINI”, built for fun and premium entertainment with cool gaming accessories.

At last year’s CES, the Lavie Pro Mobile garnered praise for its lightweight and durability, this year, the upgraded version returns with even more tempting features for on-the-go professionals, including long-lasting battery life.

This PC boasts a 13.3-inch-widescreen and comes outfitted with an 11th Gen Intel® Core i7 CPU and a keyboard design exclusively available to customers outside of Japan. It weighs only 889 grams (1.95lbs). With a 19mm key pitch, the device features an optimized lift-up hinge function that tilts the keyboard to fit personal preference for the typing experience.

Despite having lightweight components housed in a rich Navy-Blue-hued compact body, it offers USB Type-C connectivity for productivity. The PC features a durable top and bottom carbon casing and a long-lasting battery, which reportedly has a run-time of up to 10 hours. The LAVIE Pro Mobile starts at USD 1,699.99.

The LAVIE MINI pocket-sized PC is every PC gamer’s dream, the 8-inch WUXGA monitor ultra-mobile PC is one of the smallest form-factors featuring the power and performance of the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 mobile processor consisting Intel Iris® Xe graphics. The device is 14.7 cm long and weighs 579 grams (1.28lbs).

The pocket-sized PC features a 360 rotational hinge and optical touch sensor. It can be utilized in tablet mode, or you could turn it into a portable gaming PC by docking with a dedicated gamepad controller. Using the docking station, the device can also be configured into a non-portable gaming console and sharing screen with a home TV or any other device (HDMI input) in 4K  quality.
