CES 2021: ASUS announced ROG Claymore II mechanical keyboard with a handy detachable number pad

Asus is a renowned electronic gadget and smartphone manufacturer, popularly known for its powerful gaming devices, such as gaming phones of its ROG series, gaming laptops, and accessories. At CES 2021, Asus has announced a new mechanical keyboard, named ROG Claymore II. It is basically a gaming keyboard, with per-key RGB backlighting and customizable macro keys. Another highlight of this keyboard is it has a handy detachable number pad. That means you can detach the Numpad from the main body of your keyboard when you have no need for that. When you need to crunch some numbers, you magnetically attach it to the main keyboard. Additionally, the Numpad features more intuitive volume controls, looks like a volume dial. As it is a gaming keyboard, the build quality of the switches is excellent as it claims 100 million key-press lifespans.

In terms of connectivity, you can connect the ROG Claymore II to your device via a USB-C cable (wired) or go wireless via 2.4GHz. To support the wireless connectivity, this keyboard is juiced by a 4,000mAH battery that is supposed to last for up to 40 hours. You can charge it via USB-C as it supports faster charging. As per its availability, Asus is going to launch this product in quarter 2 of 2021, but the company has not revealed any pricing for it.

Apart from the keyboard, Asus has also announced a wireless gaming mouse, named ROG Gladius III. This product may launch later in Q2 2021 and its final pricing is also under the wraps as of now. Though as per its design, it looks quite similar to the Razer DeathAdder V2. As per the specifications, the ROG Gladius III Wireless gaming mouse has a sensor that supports up to 19,000 DPI, connectable via wire or wirelessly (via 2.4GHz or Bluetooth). For the user’s comfortable usability, it allows for user-replaceable switches, even you can swap between three-pin mechanical and five-pin Omron optical switches.
