CES 2021: Acer upgrades Nitro 5 with powerful Ryzen 5000 APUs and Nvidia RTX 30-series GPUs

Acer Nitro 5 which received the power of Ryzen 5 4600H and was supported in the graphics segment with a GTX 1650 Ti last year, has received a new upgrade this year for the CES 2021 event. The manufacturer announced that the new laptop will receive high-performing internal upgrades with the cutting-edge processor technology from AMD and graphics unit from Nvidia.

The new and upgraded Acer Nitro 5 will be powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HX APU which is 8C/16T part with a 45 W+ TDP. Not only is the machine receiving a powerful processor but it also an excellent graphics card in the form of Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU.

The gaming machine can support up to 2 TB of NVMe storage and 2 TB of HDD storage. Users can further configure the laptop with up to 32 GB of RAM. For connectivity, the laptop comes with Wi-Fi 6 and E2600 LAN which offers fast low-latency network connectivity for online gaming. The laptop is turning out to be a real beast.

There are three display options available for the Nitro 5, in both the 15.6 and 17.3-inch versions. Buyers can choose from a QHD 165 Hz, FHD 144 Hz, and FHD 360 Hz refresh rates. All the displays will come with a 3 ms, and the QHD panel covers 100% of the sRGB color space. As always, Acer is providing its AcerCoolBoost technology to keep the internal organs of the device cool.

The Acer Nitro 5 15.6-inch (AN515-45) will be available from May with prices starting from €899 for the 15.6-inch version. The 17.3-inch Nitro 5 (AN517-41) will be available from April starting from €999.
