Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is the latest player in the franchise who will be required to enter quarantine, which will have him off the court for 10 to 14 days, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. That makes the total number of Celtics players in quarantine up to four, since the team announced on Friday that Robert Williams, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams will be all be required to self-isolate for at least seven days because of the league’s Covid-19 health and safety guidelines.

Robert Williams has reportedly test positive for coronavirus and remains asymptomatic, while Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams are being asked to quarantine for contract tracing, according to Adam Himmelsbach of The Boston Globe.

Before having to quarantine, Jayson Tatum was on a tear. The star was averaging an impressive 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 47.4 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from beyond the three-pointer arc.

In the coming two weeks, Boston is expected to play Miami, Chicago, Orlando twice, New York, and Philadelphia twice in the absence of their leading scorer in Tatum, and three of their bigs in tow. In the immediate future, the Celtics will definitely be short-handed.

To make things worse for the Celtics, Kemba has not made his season debut yet because of a knee injury, Jeff Teague has been dealing with an ankle injury and Romeo Langford has been away with a wrist injury.

Despite the highs and lows of the roster, Boston has somehow managed to pull out wins as they have gotten out to a strong 7-3 start to the season. Jaylen Brown has taken a huge leap this season, averaging 26 points on 41.2% shooting from the arc per game.
