Celtic have won the Scottish Premiership for the second straight season, following their 2-0 win over Hearts. They have defended their title successfully, after missing out in 2020/21 to their rivals, Rangers.
But now, Ange Postecoglou has managed to re-establish their dominance over the Scottish league. They have only lost one game all season, and have scored an eye-catching 105 goals in 34 games.
Celtic win Scottish Premiership for second straight season
Kyogo and Hyeon-gyu scored for the visitors, as they defeated Hearts to lift the trophy. They are close to reaching the century-old record of 116 goals scored in a single season, as well as the record for the most wins in a 42-game season, which has also stood for a similar amount of time.
The Bhoys also have the chance to secure a record eighth treble. They have won the League Cup, and have won the Premiership as well. Celtic will face Inverness Caledonian Thistle in June in the Scottish Cup final – and could sweep all domestic trophies yet again.
Postecoglou managed to win the title in his very first season in charge, and has managed to do so again with his team. His performances attracted interest from clubs like Chelsea over their managerial position. But for the time being, it looks like he will be staying.
