Cavan Sullivan has become the youngest player in the history of the MLS, making his professional debut aged 14 for Philadelphia Union. The player came on in the last minutes of Union’s 5-1 win over New England Revolution, right after his older brother Quinn scored the fifth goal for his side.
What’s more – Sullivan is the youngest to make his debut across all major league sports in the USA, allowing him to break some major records in the process.

The 14-year-old plays as a midfielder, and is very highly rated. So much so that he has already agreed to join Manchester City when he turns 18. He has moved past Freddy Adu as the youngest player in MLS, and only time will tell if he can build on his potential to become a top player.
It will be interesting to see how many chances he is given in the first team considering all the talent the club already has. It’s expected that he will slowly grow into the team, and will only make sporadic appearances for the time being.
But even then, it’s time to take notice of another top youngster who could be one for the future.
How old is Cavan’s brother Quinn?
