ViewSonic unveils Elite XG341C-2K ultra-wide gaming monitor with 200 Hz refresh rate

ViewSonic, a US-based brand, has launched a new gaming monitor, dubbed the ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K, in the global market. The brand had also recently introduced a VX2405 24-Inch Gaming Monitor in India. The latest offering from ViewSonic comes with a 32-inch display that features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology and up to 200Hz refresh rate. Let us have a look at the features and specifications of the newly launched ViewSonic gaming monitor.

ViewSonic Elite XG341C-2K

ViewSonic has introduced the Elite XG341C-2K, a gaming monitor that relies on a 34-inch VA panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 1500R curvature. As such, the ultra-wide monitor has a stretched native resolution compared to its flat counterparts. Razer Edge 5G launched with Snapdragon G3x Gen 1

Razer at the RazerCon 2022 announced the Razer Edge 5G, the world’s first dedicated 5G handheld console in partnership with Verizon, after teasing it recently. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform, and runs on Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband.

Consumer electronics company Razor has unveiled Nintendo Switch style Android handheld device for $399.99 that is touted as the world’s first 5G gaming device. Let’s have a loo nof its detailed specifications.

Razer Edge 5G Specifications

The Edge 5G is here with a 6.8 inch AMOLED display panel of Full HD resolution (1080 × 2400) and 144Hz refresh rate. Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC Surface Online Specifications Ahead of Launch

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 specifications have been leaked online, ahead of the launch of the second generation Snapdragon 7 series chipset. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip has only been used in a few phones so far, but it’s well below the popularity of the 700-series chips that came before it.

According to a report by GSM Arena citing tipster Roland Quandt, Qualcomm has a new 7-series chip in the works, the SM7475, though its position in the Snapdragon family is not quite clear. This could be the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 or it could be labelled 7+ Gen 1. The CPU will have a tri-cluster design with 1x Prime, 3x Gold and 4x Silver cores.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC Specifications

Prime cores will run at around 2.4GHz, Gold cores will have about the same peak frequency, and Silver cores will go up to 1.8GHz. This is almost the same frequency as the 7th generation: 2.4GHz Prime, 2.36GHz Gold and 1.8GHz Silver. Unfortunately, we don’t have details on the actual hardware yet, and if this is a next-gen chipset, it should use the new core design.

Cortex-A715 for the Prime and Gold cores and the improved A510 for the Silver cores. The 7 Gen 1 uses the older Cortex-A710 for Prime and Gold and A510 for Silver, as per the report.

Assuming these are the new cores, only a small performance bump can be expected but a solid improvement in efficiency – the A715 is 5 percent faster and 20 percent more efficient than the A710. Even the A510 core got a small redesign, not enough for a new model number but it is 5 percent more efficient.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit is taking place next month and the chipmaker is expected to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the event. Thus we can expect some details about the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 that time as well.

Ola to launch new S1 electric scooter this Diwali in India

This Diwali, Ola Electric will introduce a whole new product. Probably the new S1 model will be sold in India for less than 80,000 INR. It’s interesting to note that the future Ola electric scooter will reportedly provide much of the same capabilities as the S1, including riding modes and smartphone connection. Ola’s MoveOS will power the new S1 model.

So, a few days back we reported that Ola Electric have started opening offline retail stores, which they call ‘Ola Experience Centres’, and aim to establish 200 such stores by March 2023. Mr. Bhavish Aggarwal (CEO, Ola Electric) himself announced these new Ola retail stores and their plans for the future as well.

Ola Electric To Launch A More Affordable Variant Of S1 Electric Scooter

In a recent tweet, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal hinted at a new launch coming later this month. In a tweet, Aggarwal said, “planning something BIG for our launch this month! Will accelerate the #EndICEAge revolution by at least 2 years. Really excited.” Further, a report in Car And Bike said that the company is planning to launch a new, more affordable variant of the Ola S1 scooters.

To keep the price low, Ola could use a smaller battery instead of the 3kWh unit seen on the S1. We expect the range to be around 100km. For reference, the claimed range on the TVS iQube S is 100km while the Ather 450X Gen 3 can clock 105km and the Bajaj Chetak can do 90km. Given that the Ola e-scooter would be available at a more affordable price, it would be interesting to see how it stacks up against its rivals.

Sources say that the new S1 variant would be priced below Rs. 80,000, which will take the fight to popular petrol scooters in the market, making for aggressive pricing. Ola is likely to offer most of the features available on the current S1, on the new variant. Like before, the new Ola electric scooter will be running on company’s MoveOS platform.

Currently, Ola Electric has 20 experience centres and plans to scale it up to 200 centres across the country by March 2023. The company also rolled out several offers on the S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters for the festive season including a flat discount of Rs. 10,000 on the latter, extended warranties, low-interest rates on loans and an assured seven-day delivery through select experience centres.

Ola had recently announced that it had a successful Navratri period, where the company claimed it sold an electric scooter every minute. The company said that sales grew four times during this festive season. Ola Electric also said that it managed to organise over 1 lakh customer test drives across India. The company sold 9,364 units in September, according to Vaahan numbers.

DJI Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T drones launched in China

Two drones have been unveiled in China by DJI, a Chinese drone company. Exciting features of the DJI Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T include longer battery life for both models. With its mechanical quick wide-angle camera, the DJI Mavic 3E is said to revolutionize small industry drones. The Mavic 3T boasts a 45-minute battery life and thermal imaging capabilities.

The DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise drone series has two versions: Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T (the T is for thermal). While the Mavic 3E is designed primarily for mapping and surveying functions, the DJI Mavic 3T targets firefighting, search and rescue, inspections, and night missions.

DJI has priced the Mavic 3 at $2,199, or around Rs 1.6 lakh. This price is for the standard variant of the drone. A costlier option can get you the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo pack that comes with several more accessories than the base variant. It is priced at $2,999, or about Rs 2.2 lakh.

The DJI Mavic 3T has the same telecamera as the Mavic 3E, a 48 MP camera with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, as well as a thermal camera with a Display Field of View (DFOV) of 61-degree and an equivalent focal length of 40mm with 640×512 px resolution.

The drone comes with a 200-meter range and features ActiveTrack 5.0 feature to work with GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou satellite signals. Sony announced earlier today a new gaming accessory for its Xperia 1 IV that brings active cooling and four additional ports. In addition to accessories, Sony also released a new Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition smartphone that brings 001GB RAM and 326GB storage.

Sony has now announced during its Xperia gaming event the Sony Xperia Stream, a cooling and streaming accessory made for the Xperia 1 IV smartphone.

Sony Xperia Stream

The Xperia Stream features a built-in cooling fan to help cool your Xperia 1 IV which also is customizable with the Game Enhancer menu. The Stream connects via USB-C and features ports including a full-sized HDMI, LAN port, headphone jack, and another USB-C port.

The HDMI port helps you stream games to a monitor or TV at a max resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It also can connect to a Capture Card to help you record and livestream games.

The Xperia Stream will retail for JPY 23,100 (or $160) in Sony’s home market. It will also be available in a new Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition bundle for JPY 175,000 with an Xperia 1 IV featuring 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The company has not shared any details regarding an international launch at the moment.

Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition

Sony has also launched a Gaming Edition of the Sony Xperia 1 IV smartphone. With the biggest change being that it now sports 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Everything else from the specs to the design is the same as the regular Xperia 1 IV.

It’s still powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and features a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It packed with a 5,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless.

Coming to the optics, it has 12MP 1/1.7″ Exmor RS, F1.7 main camera, 12MP 1/3.5″ Exmor RS, F2.3-F2.8 telephoto (3.5x-5.2x optical zoom), 12MP 1/2.5″ Exmor RS, F2.2 ultra-wide and 12MP 1/2.9″ Exmor RS, F2.0 front camera.

It has IP65/68 dust and water-resistant and it runs on Android 12. For connectivity, it has 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB 3.2 Type-C and NFC. It comes with side mounted fingerprint scanner.

Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition retails for JPY 175,000 which converts to $1,225. It’s already available on pre-order in Japan from Sony and Docomo while official sales start on Thursday, September 15. International pricing and availability are not yet detailed.
