Casemiro could follow his long-time teammate Raphael Varane out of Manchester United this summer, with Saudi Arabia keen on signing the Brazilian since October.
While Varane is leaving at the end of the season as a free agent because his contract expires, Casemiro still has two years left on his deal. He joined United in 2022 for €70 million in a rather surprising deal, and has featured regularly in the line-up.

After spending big on players from Europe last summer, it seems unlikely that the Saudi Arabia PIF will slow down this season. Casemiro isn’t quite on the same level he hit at Real Madrid. He has recently been asked to play as a central defender due to Manchester United’s injury crisis, and hasn’t been called up to the Brazil national team for the Copa America this summer as well.
A formal proposal is expected in the coming weeks, once the domestic season is over. Once a contract offer comes in, the player will discuss a potential move with his entourage and the club. United could let go of the Brazilian to make room for new midfield signings.
However, they are under no pressure to sell since there are still two years left on his contract.
