Opening big is one thing. Staying big is another — and that’s exactly where “Carry On Jatta 4” is starting to wobble. Gippy Grewal’s much-anticipated sequel closed its first week with Rs 14.50 crore gross in India, but sharp drops on both Wednesday and Thursday are raising real concerns about its full theatrical run.

The film added just Rs 75 lakh on Day 7, a 15% dip from an already soft Wednesday — the kind of steep midweek decline that tends to shrink a film’s ceiling fast.

## Carry On Jatta 4: Week One Collection Breakdown

| Day | Gross Collection |
| --- | --- |
| Day 1 | Rs 2.35 crore |
| Day 2 | Rs 3.10 crore |
| Day 3 | Rs 4.10 crore |
| Day 4 | Rs 1.60 crore |
| Day 5 | Rs 1.70 crore |
| Day 6 | Rs 0.90 crore |
| Day 7 | Rs 0.75 crore |
| **Total** | **Rs 14.50 crore** |

## Why This Matters?

The film was initially projected to close its full run around Rs 30 crore, but current trends suggest a more realistic ceiling closer to Rs 25 crore — and if the second week doesn’t improve significantly, even that number could slip lower. For context, that would land well under half of what “Carry On Jatta 3” managed in its own run.

That said, “Carry On Jatta 4” is still outperforming several recent [Punjabi cinema](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjabi_cinema) sequels. Titles like “Bambukat 2,” “Nikka Zaildar 4,” and “Godday Godday Chaa 2” all struggled badly, and even “Saunkan Saunkanay 2” fell short of expectations — suggesting sequel fatigue is becoming a broader industry trend, not just this film’s problem.

## What Comes Next?

Everything now hinges on the second weekend. A strong Friday-to-Sunday push could stabilize the film’s trajectory; another weak hold could push it toward an underwhelming finish well below initial projections.
