The design of the OnePlus 11 5G, which was recently unveiled in India and globally as the company’s first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, lacks “real identity,” according to Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing and co-founder of OnePlus.

In 2023, the OnePlus 11 5G will replace last year’s OnePlus 10 Pro as the brand’s top-end flagship. In India, the entry-level 8GB/128GB model costs Rs 56,999. The OnePlus 11 is also available in a 12GB/256GB variant for Rs 61,999.

Carl Pei, 33, founded Nothing in 2021 after leaving OnePlus in 2020. Carl Pei reviewed the latest phone from his previous company in a video.

He began by sharing his initial thoughts on the OnePlus device, calling it “beautiful” and full of interesting details. Carl Pei praised the camera’s rounded edges and sparkling texture. He did, however, point out that the side buttons are much thinner than the buttons on the Nothing phone.

The OnePlus 11 5G is a “solid, premium piece of hardware,” according to him. The OnePlus 11 5G is available in Eternal Green and Titan Black. It has a triple rear camera and a 16 MP front-facing selfie camera. The device also includes an X-axis vibration motor, which OnePlus claims is the largest on any of its phones to date.
