## Manchester City 3-2 Liverpool

Manchester City overcame their rivals, Liverpool, in an instant classic after the 2022 World Cup. The [Red Devils](https://technosports.co.in/2022/12/21/aaron-wan-bissaka-to-leave-man-utd/) were able to comfortably move past Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the Carabao Cup. Following their duties for their national teams, Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen found the back of the net as they picked up the win.

Wolves, Leicester City, Newcastle United and Southampton were able to all get the predicted results and advance to the last eight. The only major shock from Round 4 was Brighton being defeated on penalties by Charlton Athletic.

The quarter finals will be played on 11 January, to determine the last four teams that make it to the next round.
