US electric vehicle manufacturing start-up, Canoo, has now launched a new fully-electric pickup truck. This launch occurred during the Motor Press Guild’s Virtual Media Day (VMD) in partnership with Automobility LA. Canoo also announced that the company will be taking preorders for this new truck in the second quarter of 2021.

The delivery will also begin in the early part of 2023. The company claims that it has a lot of features that make this truck ready for daily drivers as well as for those who are into trucks. Some people expected that the design of this fully-electric pickup truck will be similar to was Tesla offered with its Cybertruck but the reality is different.
The design is not at all similar to Tesla’s Cyberstruck but is comparable to the design we saw in the VW Kombi pickup that was present in the 70s. Canoo also claims that people should have no safety concerns as this truck is as tough as any other truck present in the market right now. It features a long-range of 200 miles and will also have up to 600 HP and 550 lb-ft of torque.
The height of this electric truck is 76 inches and has a strong payload capacity of up to 1,800 pounds. Its height is smaller than GMC’s Hummer EV but is taller than Tesla’s Cybertruck. Also, the length of the Canoo’s truck, which is 184 inches, is smaller than both of the other trucks. But this can be extended to 213 inches with the aid of a pull-out bed extension.
It also has other attractive features like side steps, flip-down side tables, and a front compartment with a flip-down table and storage section. For more updates on the features and the price of this truck, we have to wait for Canoo’s notification.
