Several reports suggest that Call Of Duty Warzone is coming to mobile. The game is referenced as “WZM” on multiple occasions in a job advertisement. It was spotted by Charlie Intel before the job listing was taken offline.
The job title on the job advert was Executive Producer, Features[WZM]. “WZM” which appears seems to be the codename for Warzone Mobile. Moreover, the job advert also states that the job is for a “new mobile FPS in the Call of Duty Franchise.” “As Executive Producer, Features you will own product framing and player experience of a new AAA mobile FPS in the Call of Duty franchise.“
Additionally, the job advert states that the individual needs to learn how to adapt, harvest, and deliver Warzonen from consoles and PC to mobile and ensure a best-in-class mobile experience that players will adore.
Bobby Kotick, the CEO of Activision Blizzard made a statement in February 2020 that “mobile was the publisher’s “largest” platform” and that the company was working on mobile games based on all its greatest franchises.
All this points us to one direction that Call Of Duty Warzone is coming to mobile if the job advertisement is legit. The game is a free-to-play battle royale that was released on March 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
Since its release, the game has attracted over 75 million players and is bound to attract more players if the game is launched on mobile devices.
