BYD, a Chinese EV manufacturer, is prepared to establish itself in the Indian 4W EV market. BYD, which stands for “Build Your Dreams,” is a huge firm in terms of industrial output. You’re not mistaken if you say that BYD gives Tesla nightmares. BYD currently outsells Tesla in terms of sales as well. The e6 was the first vehicle that BYD unveiled in India, and it was initially available solely to fleet owners.
Since SUVs are so popular in India, an MPV like the e6 is not likely to sell well. The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV has entered the market and offers nearly everything an Indian EV consumer might need in an SUV. It has angular lines and an athletic stance that lend to the dynamic aesthetics of the Dragon Face 3.0 design language under the direction of Wolfgang Egger, Design Director of BYD. Despite BYD calling this a “launch,” the price has not yet been disclosed.
BYD Atto 3 has a wheelbase of 2,720mm, dimensions of 4,455mm in length, 1,875mm in width, and 1,615mm in height.
The electric SUV has a baseline luggage capacity of 440L that can be increased to 1,340L and 175mm of ground clearance. A huge SUV with a futuristic, tech-heavy aesthetic must have futuristic gadgetry. BYD receives just that.
An infotainment system with a rotating touchscreen will be included with the BYD Atto 3. There is nothing inherently wrong with a fixed design. This movable touchscreen might have uses besides just personal taste. Because it is built to scroll vertically, Android Auto favours vertical screen orientation. While Apple CarPlay favours horizontal screens because of its operating system that functions like horizontally swiping panes. BYD offers a selection from which to pick.
One of the toughest battery tests in the business, the nail penetration test, is passed by the Blade Battery, which powers the BYD-ATTO 3. Additionally, the battery survived a 46-tonne truck driving over it without showing any leakage, distortion, or smoke (company claimed). The BYD Atto 3 electric SUV is positioned above the MG ZS EV and below vehicles like the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and others with 80 kWh battery packs. BYD pledges to attend the 2023 Auto Expo and introduce numerous innovative products. Reservations can be made for a little fee of Rs. 50K.
